Patrick Chadd Brief Bio

Hello, my name is Patrick Chadd and I am half Japanese and half American of German-Irish ancestry on my father's side.  I lived the first 12 years of my life in Korea, Japan and Vietnam. After the fall of Vietnam, I returned to my father’s hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska where I lived until I headed to the Eastern US (PA, DE & NJ) in 1989.

I have a few blogs online - haven't kept up with them much lately due to work and school but aside from this one which is at: http://tlpchadd.blogspot.com/, the others are at:

After a successful career in law enforcement that spanned almost 20 years (as a correctional officer then police officer) and 13 years in the Army Reserves, I changed careers in 2000 and entered the then emerging world of the Internet. I began my journey as a graphic artist and web developer before transitioning to the world of Medical Education at the School of Osteopathic Medicine.

So for over the past 12 years I have been involved with medical education and for the past 5 years as the Assistant Director/Manager of the Instructional Technology Group at my institution.
In addition to my role at the RowanSOM and GSBS, I am also adjunct faculty at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in their College of Graduate Studies Instructional Technology program.

Throughout my life, I have been an artist in both the traditional (drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, etc.) and digital sense.  Here are a few of my photograph/digital art images from a project I am working on:

I also like to cook and I recently started my own YouTube channel called Nippon Cornhusker to post some cooking videos of some of my favorite dishes for family, for fun and as a way to decompress from work and schoolwork.  Interestingly enough, the cooking video that has gotten the most views (3,205!) to date is one I did for a Lebanese pastry cream called Ushta.

I suppose that is enough for my first post so I will sign off for now.  Blog you later!!  後でブログに書こう!

  1. Looking forward to getting to know you better...and maybe picking up some tips on graphic design. When I started using computers, they had black screens with green letters! :-)
